State: State FBLA is a three-day convention/competition held in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Holiday Inn Convention Center. Over 100 FBLA Chapters (schools with FBLA clubs) come from all over the state of Nebraska to compete for a chance to travel to the National Leader Ship Conference. Students from grades 7-12 are tested on what they know about many different things.
Tests that are available to be taken at state include: Accounting, Banking and Financial Systems, Business Calculations, Business Communication, Business Ethics, Business Law, Business Math, Business Plan, Business Procedures, Computer Applications, Desktop Publishing, Digital Video Production, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Impromptu Speaking, Introduction to Business, Introduction to Technology Concepts, Keyboarding Knowledge, Marketing, Network Design, Networking Concepts, Parliamentary Procedure, Programming C++, Public Speaking, Spelling, Technology Concepts, Web Site Development, and Word Processing.

Pizza Parties (AKA Meetings): Monthly we gather amongst ourselves in Mr. Meyer's room, attack the pizza boxes when they arrive, sit down and enjoy our pizza while Mr. Meyer goes over what we will be doing, and to keep us up-to-date on the State Convention.
FBLA provides the business leaders of tomorrow with the necessary skills to successfully compete in the job market, pursue post secondary education, or manage personal skills. Members learn how to lead and participate in group discussions by engaging in practical problem-solving and decision-making activities. FBLA members learn the value of competition through directed competitive events.
