LENGTH OF COURSE: 1 Year
PREREQUISITE(S): None
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides the student with simple conversational skills and a basic understanding of simple grammatical structures. Listening and speaking skills are stressed, with limited reading and writing. Cultural elements are integrated throughout the course. All students must complete the first semester with a passing grade in order to continue in the class the subsequent semester. If the does not have a passing grade, special grade, special permission to continue must be obtained from the instructor.

LENGTH OF COURSE: 1 Year
PREREQUISITE(S): Spanish I
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Spanish II includes a review and reinforcement of basic conversation and grammatical skills introduction in Spanish I. Added emphasis in place on reading comprehension. More Advanced grammar is introduced throughout the year. All students must complete the first semester with a passing grade in order to continue in the class the subsequent semester. If the student does not have a passing grade, special permission to continue must be obtained from the instructor.

LENGTH OF COURSE: 1 Year
PREREQUISITE(S): Placement in Spanish III without Prerequisite Spanish requires permission of the instructor or principal.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Spanish III is designed to broaden the student's cultural awareness of the Spanish language through the combined skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The focus is on more advanced work in grammar and reading of simple Spanish stories in the language. Creative writing and individual work in areas of the student's interest is encouraged. All students must complete the first semester with a passing grade in order to continue in the class the subsequent semester. If the student dies not have a passing grade, special permission to continue must be obtained from the instructor.
Spanish IV.....................................................................................8400A / 8400B
LENGTH OF COURSE: 1 Year
PREREQUISITE(S): Placement in Spanish IV without Prerequisite Spanish requires permission of the instructor or principal.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Spanish IV seeks to further develop the skills of speaking and listening while placing more emphasis on reading and writing. The study of Spanish culture and advanced grammar will predominate. All students must complete the first semester with a passing grade in order to continue in the class the subsequent semester. If the student does not have a passing grade, special permission to continue must be obtained from the instructor.
